Decided to check this place out for an early morning Sunday coffee and it became a hojicha day and it was amazing. There were only 2 workers but they were working quickly and producing well made drinks; they even gave tips on how to best drink what I ordered, which was great and appreciated. The chill music was nice and the color palate they use for their store was nice. Seating at the bar is limited but there are some benches. Would recommend.

I saw this spot had a lot of excellent reviews and I decided to try their signature drink. It's the iced drink they have on the wall. It was delicious, creamy, nutty and a good balance of sweetness. It was a solid breakfast drink. I'd definitely come back again to try their other menu items.

Great local spot, the best coffee, great service! The mascarpone is my favorite. They use real chocolate for mocha which is creamy and amazing. Their own tonic for the tonic drink- also great

I heard about the Mascarpone latte and had to give this place a try. This latte is tiramisu in liquid form. It is not too sweet and very flavorful. I really enjoyed this drink so much and hope to come back soon to try their other unique beverages. When I stopped by, there was not a long line. Service was quick and friendly. The space is clean and minimalistic. I was thankfully able to find street parking. This is one of the best cups of coffee I have had in my life. I definitely recommend stopping by!

Friendly and helpful cashier / barista. We asked what they recommended and confirmed the drinks were not made too sweet - I agree, they were perfectly sweetened. Delicious coffee and tea - creamy and flavorful hojicha and espresso. We got two iced specialty drinks, horizon and mascarpone. A bit pricey but worth trying once. It was so good that we sipped it up before a picture! There is an inside bench and fun yellow outdoor sitting. Unfortunately the outdoor sitting area was in full sun so we couldn't sit there around 3pm.

This is a cute, little artsy coffee shop with really good coffee! I got their signature mascarpone (tiramisu) coffee and it was delicious. It was layered with espresso, mascarpone cheese foam, and their delicious muscovado milk. Tasted like a tiramisu in coffee form lol. Not too sweet and paired get well. It was dusted off with the bittersweet cocoa powder.

Their mascarpone's worth the hype! I was worried it might be too sweet and creamy but was glad that the strong, rich flavor of the espresso still came through. Not only was it smooth and creamy, but it was also crunchy with little cocoa nibs! If you're a tiramisu lover, you MUST try it. I tried their cappuccino as well, and you can't go wrong with it. Their coffee tasted so good that I got a bag of their beans. I went with the Taxi Blend since that's the one they use in their drip coffee. I like how the packaging includes the date the beans were roasted. I tried them with my home espresso machine, and it was so smooth -- the chocolate-y flavor is exquisite. There was a long line when I initially arrived, which was around half past noon on a Saturday, but it moved fast. The interior is small with seats along the window and a counter area, but there are tables outside, too.

If you're on the hunt for a caffeinated treat that feels more like an experience than just your run-of-the-mill cup, Loquat is where you want to be. Their signature drinks? Pure art in a cup. The flavors and textures are blended with such finesse that it feels like a well-rehearsed symphony, only the instruments are espresso shots and matcha whisks. We tried the Marble and the Mascarpone, and let me tell you, I was blown away. Now, I'm usually a coffee loyalist through and through, but that Jeju matcha was a revelation. I typically don't even look twice at matcha, but this one? I'd actually consider ditching coffee for it, and that's saying a lot. The crushed pistachio garnish on top adds this delightful little crunch that just plays so well against the creamy richness of the drink. Honestly, it's a matcha lover's dream and a coffee drinker's possible betrayal. But, let's be real, the Mascarpone stole the show. Easily one of the top-tier craft lattes I've ever had, and I've had my fair share. Those cocoa nibs on top? Out. Of. This. World. They're not your typical chocolate chips. No, these are COCOA NIBS, and the crunch they bring? Absolutely elevating. It's like the latte is giving you a little crunchy hug with every sip. The shop itself is a bit cozy, much like their sibling spot, Kumquat. So yeah, expect to line up outside for a hot minute before you make it to the counter. But don't sweat it, the line moves along, and you'll be ordering your drink before I can finish my next latte (and I down those pretty fast, let's be honest). The staff are very welcoming and seem like total pros. Watching them work is like seeing a perfectly choreographed coffee ballet. Smooth, efficient, and just mesmerizing. Also, shout out to the interior design. Black and yellow? Hello taxi cab chic! It's got this cool, aesthetically pleasing vibe with just enough whimsy to make it stand out. I'm here for it. We've already been here three times, and my boyfriend is totally obsessed. We'd be here even more if the parking situation wasn't its own little nightmare, classic LA, right? But honestly, that's a small price to pay for what Loquat's serving up. Trust me, once you've had a sip, you'll forget all about the parking woes.
